Miss Apple Dumpling Contestant Rules - Regulations
  • Contestant must be a female and resident of Berks County.
     
  • Contestant must be single, never married or divorced and without children. This rule shall also apply during your reign, should you become Miss Apple Dumpling. Any violation of this rule may result in revocation of crown and prizes.
     
  • Contestant must be between the ages of 16 and 21, inclusive as of December 31, 2010.
     
  • In the best interest of the pageant and contestant, Pageant Committee requests contestant refrain from competing for any other title while participating in the Miss Apple Dumpling Pageant.
     
  • Contestants must appear in all four categories of Judging:
     
  1. Fitness/Dance Routine - Coordination and Agility
  2. Formal Wear Competition - Poise and Grace
  3. Personal Interview - Intelligence and Personality
  4. Summer Fun Wear Competition - Stage Presence and Appearance. Fitness outfits will be supplied to all contestants
  • Contestants must appear for all scheduled events, including dance rehearsals, photo sessions and workshops.
     
  • Miss Apple Dumpling Contestants should contact contact Deb at Color Graphics at 610-775-1964 to have their complimentary photograph taken on Friday May 7th or Saturday May 8th.  Contestants who do not schedule with Color Graphics will be required to submit their own, non-returnable, photo by May 9th.  A close-up head shot is required.
     
  • Contestants must secure a sponsor, preferably a local business. You will be MISS Business Name. Sponsor registration fee is $95.00. (non-refundable) Checks should be made payable to: Apple Dumpling Festival. A business card or letterhead should accompany check and application. Once a sponsor is confirmed as a participant he/she will receive an information packet explaining their participation.
     
  • All pre-registered contestants will receive a letter of confirmation and additional information by May 30, 2010.
     
  • Family members of organizers are not eligible.
  • If contestant gets injured and is unable to perform, an average score will be given by judges.
